Hello! I'm Sarah. A Northern cactus hoarding, plant growing, tattoo appreciating colourful illustrator and everything blogger currently residing in the UK.
With my roots in a small coastal town in England, I did some growing up and then moved to Preston to study Illustration, my life long career dream, at university. My blogging journey began as a hobby in 2015 and remains so since!
The Scarlet State has blossomed little-by-little over the past couple of years into a cosy corner of the internet where topics such as living well, cruelty free beauty, mental health, interior and taboo are talked about often.
I reserve a space here too for my personal thoughts- from happenings in my daily life to my take on current events, but fear not!
